Maritime Housing Society is a non-profit society that makes home ownership financially accessible.

Our Vision
To create through home ownership diverse and resilient communities founded on the financial security that home ownership and intentional community brings.

Our Mission
To oversee the development of well-built, energy efficient, cost-effective homes in rural urban Nova Scotia, Canada, and support other organizations with doing the same.

Our Values
Our core values are community, service, transparency, and reliability. These are based on successful efforts who lead the development of equitable housing models and partnerships who have built over 3.100 homes over the last thirty years.

Home Ready Program
We designed the Home Ready Program specifically for people who have an income of under $60,000 per year or households that have an income of under $100,000 per year, are residents of Nova Scotia and are going to stay in their new home for at least five years.
This program makes homes ownership attainable for qualified first-time homeowners and those who are downsizing that can qualify for a mortgage and are need help with their down payment.
